Sam on Johnson
|
A tough press conference for Sam Allardyce, who now faces questions concerning the Black Cats' former winger Adam Johnson, who has just begun a six-year jail sentence for grooming and sexual activity with a girl aged 15.
"As a professional you have to deal with it and in the only way you can do," says Allardyce.
"The decision has been made and you have to accept it and make sure it does not affect the dressing room - and I'm confident it won't do.
“We’ve lost a hugely talented player in Adam Johnson, irrespective of his indiscretions. He obviously got what he deserved but we’ve lost a talented player I would’ve liked to keep but it was taken out of our hands by other factors.”
Well you got to keep him for an extra year and it did fuck all for you. Taken out of our hands by other factors? You twat.

He got us back In the premier and I can't forget that but sadly the quality of football I had to witness directly after that was pretty grim. I dunno why he had a dodgy ticker either I didn't think chewing gum and showing fuck all passion on a touch line could give you a heart attack.

I agree with everything that everyone said up to two months after we sacked him/he left , it has all been said what I am saying is you cannot hold on to bitterness and hate like some crazed maniac he killed no one he was poor regarding tactics and respect to fans he was the anti West Ham bloke, I felt exactly that, and as I said disliked his approach and tactics from his very first season in the Prem and can well understand going and feeling sick and I used to say how sorry I felt for those poor fans. But taking what BS said in a bloody press conference about Johnson and dissecting it as if BS were a serial killer is just, well ridiculous.

Never mentioned the ear cupping incendent
One thing he said may come true this season, let's hope so

I know that perfectly well.
I gave up going away about ten games into the second season back in the Premier League as I literally couldn't stand any more of it.
After about February I stopped even wanting to go to home games and for the first time in my life couldn't give a fuck if we won or lost. Considering I'm absolutely champing at the bit for Palace tomorrow that's quite an achievement.
So I fucking hate him and everything to do with him.
Maybe somewhere along the road I'll take the long view that he stabilised the club but the football and his whole ethos and attitude on the whole STANK.

I believe he done a good job for us. Nowhere near the miracle worker he would confess but a good job nonetheless.
That doesn't distract from the fact he's a classless fucking wanker. He couldn't move us on and the last half of last season was an absolute fucking disgrace.
I'm happy to leave him with his relegation battle and watch from a far as he performs another miracle for his Bob average CV.
I'll be looking down on him in the meantime, if that's ok.

Do you go Hairy?
You may have found it a bit harder to take if you were spending a lot of money to watch that football.

I truly find it pathetic all the hate for Allardyce still breeding, he turned a jelly belly into something pretty solid yes he was not nice but think back to when he took over, many were contemplating being in the lower division for a few more years and would have bitten off a hand had they been offered three pretty drab yet safe seasons in the Premiership. I wanted him gone after the first season in the Prem and carried on moaning throughout till he left, but I have bloody moved on, Sheesh. He is not a child murderer or evil killer he is a football manager who bored us all to near mania and misery, but we had some good times too didn't we?.

Yup, I'd say that pretty much sums up my feelings about him.
Hopefully my memories of those two shit seasons, the ear-cupping, 'talking bollocks', 'what is this West Ham way I keep hearing about?' and ENDLESS arse-saving fucking bullshit we had to endure will fade into the past at some point.
I DO love a pantomime villain though and he'll currently do.

He's a pretty classless, blunt bloke
I like the way those using this as a stick to beat him with miss out the "he got what he deserved"
People are not looking at it rationally because they hate the bloke for some reason. It's a difficult position to be in and answer questions about and I have a feeling no matter what he said or done people would be slagging him off for it one here.

Croe,
Put Bilic in fatty's position and imagine a journalist asking him the same question. Do you think he'd call grooming for child sex 'indiscretions' or 'other factors'?
It doesn't matter that he's addressed it before- when a journalist asks him about Adam Johnson they are referring to a would-be child rapist.
What he's said doesn't bother me too much but at the very least it denotes Allardyce's fundamental lack of class- not that any of us should be surprised at that.
Also I can see him lining up his excuses if Sunderland do go down. It'll be because a popular player went to prison and upset the dressing room and not to do with his coaching of Sunderland's defence being about as good as Adam Johnson's in court.

Why would he mention the victim in a press conference about football when asked a direct question about the loss of Johnson?
He's already done a press conference where he talked about the victim after the verdict a few weeks ago.
How many weeks or months do you think he should keep bringing the victim up for? and to what end?

It's the excuses though deal. And Sam playing the big victim again. Other factors??? What, you mean the fucking law you stupid fat cunt.
He's playing the victim but doesn't mention the actual victim in all of this. The girl.
It's just pathetic and classless. But then that is Sam all over.

Poor Sam. Always the victim.
I would have said "Johnson is a disgrace. I am disgusted with what happened and I don't want his name mentioned in here again. End of"

Not sure what Sam has said wrong here. Admitted he is gutted to have lost a talented player but he got what was coming to him.

Nothing else needed to be said.
